An island is as much the land as it is the water around it. Without the water, there would not be an island.
My work is a dialogue with, and a reflection of, my surroundings. I prefer working site specific, rather than creating an object that can be placed in any given environment. This way the work will become part of its surroundings, as well as the surroundings becoming part of the work.
